Comprised of approximately 100,000 individually drawn lines, ‘Marble’ draws on the contemporary practice of re-creating natural materials, normally for function, but in this case, for art. It represents an artist’s interpretation of a large marble slab, paying homage to the solid form that has been such a key component in the art world for thousands of years. Audiences are encouraged to view the work from a distance and also up close to get a full understanding of its complexities.
